NALLE CONCERTS WITH MALMÖ SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
In 2024 and 2025, Elin from NANNA worked on the production of two concerts in the Nalle series at Malmö Live Concert Hall: "Nalles julstök" and "Nalles kalas" with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra.
Nalles kalas
NANNA was the lead producer for this event, which included coordination of repertoire, budget, decor overview, as well as coordination between various roles such as musicians, soloist ensemble, director (Siri Bengtén), technicians, production manager, and stage manager.
In this performance, Nalle went all out and invited everyone to a party to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. With balloons and a "fiskedamm" (a Swedish kid's party tradition including candy bags), the orchestra was celebrated by Nalle himself, the audience, a time-traveling conductor (played by Leonard Vojka), a magician (Malin Nilsson), and soloist Elinor Fryklund. Together, they explored questions such as "How was the Malmö Symphony Orchestra founded?", "Are the orchestra members really 100 years old?" and "Could their instruments be even older than that?"
Nalles julstök
For "Nalles julstök," the focus was more on decor responsibility, costumes, and props, with some production tasks as well.
In "Nalles julstök," the Symphony Orchestra showed Nalle all the things that make Christmas so special – with a shimmering Lucia procession and plenty of Christmas music, Santa’s elves (Klara Wemnér, Vincent Book), sledding, Christmas baking, decorating the tree, and a large window with snow outside. The evening’s host was Ida On.
Malmö Live Concert Hall is Malmö's largest cultural venue with international concerts and events.
Nalle series is a concert series for children that allows kids and families to experience a live symphony orchestra. Nalle takes the audience into the concert hall, where they can experience classical music in a playful and inspiring way.
